X-axis and Y-axis
In ViewZen Analytics, charts use the X-axis and Y-axis (instead of Dimensions and Measures) to plot data visually, making it easier to for designers to configure and viewers to communicate their interpretations.
X-axis or Horizontal Axis
X-axis can currently be used for the following
Dimensions or categories (normally text based fields)
Common contexts
Number bins
Date based groupings such as day, month, year, financial year etc.
Currently only two dimensions are allowed on the X-axis. The second dimension acts as a breakdown column
Y-axis or Vertical Axis
Y-axis can currently be used for the following
Measures
Multiple measures can be plotted on the Y-axis of a chart.
You can have multiple Y-axes, with each measure assigned to its own axis.
Measures can either have individual Y-axes or share a single Y-axis, depending on how the data is grouped.
