# Column

Certain visual components in **ViewZen Analytics** focus on presenting one aspect of data at a time, either as a value or as a categorical grouping or as a measure. For all such visual components, rather than classifying the data as **dimensions** and **measures,** for simplicity purposes **column** is used as the common label to represent such data in the visuals.

### Visual Components using Column

The following visual components utilize the configurations set in column.

| Image        | Accessing record-wise images of a dataset                                                                            | It is used for specifing the full path of the image. Only one text field from a dataset can be used                                                 |
| Grid / Table | Create a data-grid without aggregations                                                                              | The dataset columns can be placed individually to construct the desired data grid. Any number of columns of any data type can be placed in the grid |
| Filter       | Categorical grouping of data for filtering text data or range based filtering in the case of numeric and data fields | Only column from a dataset can be used in one filter                                                                                                |
